ServiceMaster (NYSE: SERV), a Fortune 1000 company, through its subsidiary, Terminix International Company LP, has acquired the Atlanta-area pest control division of Inspect-All Services, headquartered in Conyers, Georgia, from siblings Brian and Brandon Lunsford.
The Lunsford brothers acquired Inspect-All Services from their father in 2006 and rapidly grew it from a small operation to one of the top 100 largest pest control firms in the United States. The company currently sits on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies and is known as an industry leader for its outstanding reputation, customer care and technological prowess. The company’s impressive growth has been entirely organic.
Inspect-All Services, founded in 1984, will continue to operate under its current name and will complement ServiceMaster’s impressive presence in the residential services market.
“Our top priority was to make sure the acquirer’s core values aligned with ours so that our team and customers would be in good hands moving forward,” said Inspect-All Services co-owners, Brian and Brandon Lunsford. “After thorough research and many discussions with our advisor and the ServiceMaster team, we are confident that Inspect-All Services will continue to flourish under the new leadership.”
Not included in the sale was Inspect-All Services’ multi-state home inspection division, now called LunsPro Home Inspections, and its Jacksonville, Florida pest control operation, now called Kingfish Pest Control. The Lunsford siblings will continue to own and operate those businesses.
Paul Giannamore of The Potomac Company, investment banking advisor to the company, commented: “One fundamental truth that I’ve learned over the course of decades advising and investing in businesses is that the culture of the organization directly stems from the owners. From the minute I met Brian and Brandon, I understood why this business is on the Inc. 5,000 list of America’s fastest-growing businesses. I can’t imagine better partners for ServiceMaster than Brandon and Brian….These two will definitely be two guys to watch in the future, this won’t be their only Inc. 5000 business.”
Brian Lunsford commented on working with Potomac:
“After our very first discussion with Paul, Brandon and I immediately said three things to each other: 1) This guy is good. 2) We are definitely going with him and The Potomac Company. 3) There is no doubt, we will definitely be good hands with Paul throughout this process. Sure enough, choosing Paul and his team to help us sell our family-owned pest control business was one of our last and best major decisions we made as owners of Inspect-All Services.
Paul always made time for us, answered all of our literally hundreds of questions, and made us feel like we were his most important client. We are grateful for everything Paul has done for us and look forward to staying in touch with him moving forward.”
Paul Giannamore of The Potomac Company acted as exclusive financial advisor to Inspect-All Services. Mike Stanczyk of Lynn D’Elia Temes & Stanczyk, acted as legal counsel to Inspect-All Services.
